Ability to clear approval notifications when workflow is bypassed

Question: Is there a way to clear pending approval notifications (from bell icon, worklist, etc.) when workflow is bypassed?

Approver took action on a pending transaction in the UI (Manage Contracts > Actions > Approve). The invoice is approved and in status Accepted, but since acting in the UI bypasses the expected workflow routing, the system is still waiting for action (i.e., approve or reject).

Workaround: The assigned approver needs to approve or reject the pending transaction to clear the notification.
