Learning alert for an Offering due to start today to go to the Learner

We are trying to create an Alert to go out to Learners on the morning of the day that an offering is due to start but are having trouble getting it to work correctly.

We have created a filter using the following expressions but it isn't triggering

We have also tried to use the expression ${offeringStartDate} = ${AlertFilterUtils.getCurrentDate()} as some of the logs suggest using this function instead of SysDate but receive the error message shown below.
