How to remove last 4 characters from source file in data exchange (EPBCS)

Summary:

I am executing an incremental file adapter-based integration wherein a particular column has data which looks for example like "XYZBand13EP7.75". To meet a particular business requirement, I need to remove the last 4 characters i.e "XYZBand13EP".
What is the method for doing so ? What source or target expression tool can be used for this and what will be the detailed expression for the same?
