SSO in Smart View not working?

I have a user who can log in to the application without issues, but when she tries to access Smart View in Excel, the login prompt appears. After she clicks the SSO button, nothing happens and the login window simply reappears.

What do I have to check and troubleshoot to resolve? Thanks
