How to reduce Report post processing time or template processing time in oracle fusion BI Publisher?

We are working on one custom report performance which is taking more time for post processing. Report XML generation takes around 40 sec time and to generate excel report it is taking 2 minutes time. Post processing is taking more than 1 minute time. We are using .xls template having two sheets and around 55 columns in each sheet and timing I mentioned is for 65k records.
If any one know how we can reduce the time for post processing time, please let me know.
