Journey Task Alert sending out Null value

in Human Capital Management

Summary:

Our initial Alert (Task Assigned Combined Notification) for Journey tasks assigned sends the name of Pending Workers but the Reminder task (Incomplete Task Reminder for Performer) is sending 'Null' instead of the name. Both have the same data field (Hello, ${AlertUtils.userName(RecipientUserName).DisplayName}) but are behaving differently. Looking for any insight and if anyone else has experienced this?
