How Contract End Date in PER_CONTRACTS_F table is calculated

Summary:

We are encountering an issue where the contract end date appearing in UI and the generated end date in offer letter is not sync. Also the end date in backend is not sync with UI. I understand this is based on duration and units. But there is no start date field and it looks its calculating the end date based on effective start date and not the projected start date.

Please help to understand how the contract end date is getting calculated?
