Hi everyone,

I need clarification on a specific requirement regarding Flexfield behavior on the Employee Assignment page.

REQUIREMENT:

Our client has requested a custom Flexfield with a Date field called "Part-Time Start Date" on the Assignment page with the following conditional logic:

• Field should be READ-ONLY by default

• Field should become EDITABLE ONLY when a Part-Time change is registered on the assignment

• Field should remain READ-ONLY for any other assignment modifications (e.g., Department, Job, Location changes)

QUESTION:Is there a built-in Oracle HCM Cloud mechanism or automation (e.g., Business Rules, Validation Rules, or Extensibility Framework) that allows us to implement this conditional editability based on the specific type of assignment change?
