HDL Data Cleansing and Loading Historical Learning Records
Summary:
I am sharing my 3-step process for removing and cleansing course & offerings, then loading the course & offering using HDLs. This can be done in DEV and PROD environments.
- Merge - put course/offering into Complete Status, then Deleted Status as per Oracle Learning Record Status rules
- Purge - wipe out the Deleted course records from the environment
- Create - the course and offering rows need to be created at the same time
I've built OTBI reports for the first two steps.
In the last step, you just have to use the data from the previous steps to create the HDL to reload the data.
