AI Agents Cannot Call OIC via OAuth2 Authorization Code Flow

in Oracle AI for Fusion Applications

Hello,

We are exploring integration options to allow Oracle Fusion AI Agents to call Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) REST APIs. The goal is to invoke OIC integrations directly from AI Agents.

However, we have encountered a limitation:

  • OIC Integrated Applications support OAuth2 Authorization Code Flow, which requires a redirect URI.
  • Fusion AI Agents do not support the Authorization Code Flow, and client credentials flow is not available for calls to OIC Integrated Applications.

This creates a challenge for AI Agents to start an Oracle Integration.

We welcome insights, potential workarounds, or guidance from Oracle Product Management and the community on how AI Agents can securely call OIC integrations.
