Different Schedule Granularity in Requisition Grouping Depending on Requisition Source

edited 12:58AM in Purchasing

Hello,

We conducted a functional verification of requisition grouping and schedule generation behavior in Oracle ERP Cloud (Purchasing), and observed a difference depending on the source of the purchase requisition.

When we create purchase orders using grouping at the requisition line level, the number of schedules generated on the PO differs as follows:

  • Manually created PR / Inventory (Min-Max)
→ Schedules are consolidated to the minimum number, grouped by need-by date.

  • Supply Chain Planning (SCP) / Order Management (OM)
→ The number of schedules on the PO is equal to the number of requisition lines (no consolidation by need-by date).

  • Manufacturing (MFG)
→ Requisition lines are split per work order, so this case was excluded from our comparison.

Howdy, Stranger!
