FCCS Data Source Security for Default S_ members under "Source Entities" Restrict write

Summary: Access to "source entities" and its decendents to read only for users to restrict any input to these members by mistake from the data source. Any Impact to consolidation being run by business if this is moved to Read only Access for all these members.

The Decedent's of "Source Entities" members in Data Source are available for business to write from an adhoc sheet and this is due to our admin groups being power users and to make sure no one can enter this data we wanted to move this to Read Only and restrict the access. Trying to Understand if this Read Only Access has any impact on consolidations being run on an ad hoc basis by individual users either from a form or directly from rules menu. Has anyone restricted and have seen any issues or any best practice to move these
