OWP_Incremental Process Data with Synchronize Definition rule gets executed twice

Summary:

I am trying to execute an incremental file adapter–based integration where I have attached the rule “OWP_Incremental Process Data with Synchronize Definition” along with a few other required custom rules; however, when I execute the integration, this out-of-the-box rule gets executed twice—both when no other rule is added in the embedded section and when other custom rules are included. The OOB rule runs every time any other rule in the integration executes, causing the integration to take almost three hours, which is absolutely not feasible.
