Is the Add Asset box meant to close upon not allowed values?

Summary: When doing an Asset addition using the Add Asset option within the UI, if a value is input incorrectly (not a viable combindation or accounting segment) the box will close and make the user restart the entry. Is this intended functionality or can this be configured differently?

Steps to reproduce: Fixed Assets > Assets > Task bar > Add Asset

When inputting values in the Add Asset pop up box, if an invalid combination is selected or a accounting value that is not allowed in the expense account the add asset box will close out. Please see attached video file for a demo.
