Is there REST API or another non-interactive way to change connection details under Data Exchange

Summary: Is there REST API or another non-interactive way to change connection details under Data Exchange in EPM? After each clone from Prod to non-Prod and after native account password expiration we need to update connection fields, such as "Cloud Password". I found that the only option is via front-end. If anyone can suggest a way to do this via EPM Automate, REST API, etc., please share steps.
