Outside Processing with Process Manufacturing

We are currently using Process Manufacturing with Standard Costing. Each Work Definition has several Resources assigned.

We are considering using Outside Processing (OSP), as we would like supplier services to be integrated with Work Order costs (we don't ship any materials).

During testing, we confirmed the current behavior: in Process Manufacturing, the Outside Processing quantity is system-derived based on the Work Definition batch size. This creates an issue because, with internal Resources, the Resource rate remains the same regardless of whether the actual production output is more or less than the predefined batch size. As a result, OSP purchasing quantities always scale with production output.
