ASN Shipment Field Requires Automatic Numbering or Validation
We need to review the parameterization of the Shipment field when creating an ASN (Advanced Shipment Notice) in Oracle Cloud Fusion.
Currently, the Shipment field behaves as a free-text field, which allows:
- Manual entry without format control.
- Trailing spaces or tab characters at the end of the value, causing inconsistencies and errors in downstream processes.
We would like to evaluate one of the following standard options:
- Automatically generate the shipment number when the ASN is created.
- Or configure a validation rule to prevent trailing spaces or tab characters in the Shipment field.
The goal is to prevent operational issues and ensure data consistency from the ASN creation stage.
