Fast Formula Carryover Output Ignored—System Applies Forfeiture at Year-End

Summary:

I am designing an Absence Accrual plan using a Fast Formula of type “Global Absence Accrual Matrix.” The formula correctly calculates and returns the carryover value as expected during testing. However, when I attach the absence plan to an employee and run the accrual process, the system ignores the carryover value returned by the formula and instead applies a forfeiture to the year-end balance—even though the forfeiture balance option is not enabled in the plan configuration. In most cases, my formula passes a carryover of 0, but in some scenarios, I return a specific value.

Additionally, I have implemented a similar Fast Formula for a different LDG (Legislative Data Group) with nearly identical design and logic. The only significant difference is in the absence plan type: one plan is
