Cannot see future assignments in Employee info or Add Assignment unless specifically filtered for?

Summary:

Hello Experts,

In the event where we hire a new employee (let's call him V2 for simplicity) and multiple assignments are given to V2 (both future and present),

Why is it that we cannot see the future assignments when looking up V2 in Employment Info?

Have a look at the following, below you will find a screenshot in which we simply look up the user, V2:

As you can see, this results in only the current active assignments.

I have however, another assignment with start date 02/02/2028.

Why is this not showing in the normal search? Is there a work around?
