Renewal of approval (configuration in BPM approval)

Summary:

Hi all,

A query regarding BPM approvals-

We had noticed that when approver had request info from the user, the approval would release automatically after 'n' defined under priority.

To prevent the release, we did the above setup, which prevents auto-release. We have selected the option 'Renew' and Maximum Renewals as '1'.

Can it be clarified that what would maximum renewal do? Also Day as '365' and the 'Static' checkbox, what it would do essentially?
