DFF value in contract header doesn't update in clause variable

Hi All,

I am trying to update the value of a variable that i have put up in a clause.

The variable has been created to use source as Descriptive Flexfield and the created DFF field has been mapped in the variable definition.

But, during contract authoring when i am updating the value of DFF field, it is not updating in the Clause. It always stays blank. I expected it get updated automatically once the DFF has been updated. I even checked by running the Contract expert and it doesn't show that clause variable to .be updated.
