How to prevent approval of a Absence request if requester and approver are same due to delegation

in Human Capital Management

We have encountered below scenario and want to stop approval of Absence request when requester and approver are same due to delegation.

Scenario:

  • Manager A is on leave and delegated all approval requests to staff B who directly reports to A.
  • When B submits absence request, it goes to A. Due to delegation rule, the request is coming to staff B for approval.

Anyone encountered such scenario and how was this handled. Thanks in advance.
