Can Production Scheduling ignore material availability and constrain based on resource capacity?

Summary:

We would like to create a Production Scheduling plan that does not consider material availability as a constraint.

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

In our business process, the customer first completes the production scheduling, and only after the schedule is finalized, the procurement team releases purchase orders to cover the materials needed for the planned week.

Therefore, our goal is to generate a production schedule that is constrained only by resource capacity (machines, shifts, etc.), without any restrictions or checks for on-hand or available material. Material procurement and arrivals will be planned and executed after the production schedule is set.

Howdy, Stranger!
