Block Size in PBCS - how much does it really matter?

in Planning 3 comments

Summary:

So, an implemention has given the client a considerably over the recommendation block size, is it worth re-implementing and making only the accounts dense, or is the recommended limit - given state of the art hardware etc - now more than enough to make the performance hit neglible?

So, an implemention has given the client a considerably over the recommendation block size; with 5154 (stored accounts) x 58 (stored) Periods. i.e. considerably higher than the 200 KB limit at ~ 2,335

Is it worth re-implementing and making only the accounts dense, or is the recommended limit - given state of the art hardware etc - now more than enough to make any performance hit scarcely noticeable.

Howdy, Stranger!
