Allow employee's to retake courses with the exception of Required

Summary:
Found in 25A, there was functionality to turn on "Take Again" option to retake the courses. But our requirement is to allow employee retake courses with the exception of required courses. If we turn this option, required courses also will get this option enabled.
Can any one suggest the best approach to exempt the required courses.
