Is there a way to identfy open subledger transactions in the general ledger?

Summary:

We have a custom report requirement to extract account balances for specific accounts for open transactions only.

These are either receivables or payables that were transferred to GL(meaning not yet paid or collected)

Is there a way to identfy open subledger transactions when thse were already posted and transferred to ledger?
