Is there a way to delete a timeRecordEventRequest using the REST API?

I have a scenario where I'm using the REST API to upload timeRecordEventRequests from some software I created. However, there's a possibility that these need to be deleted so that a new batch of them can be uploaded. Currently, if I try to submit the new batch, it duplicates entries when the scheduled process is run to create time records out of these requests. I need to be able to delete the existing requests (or a specific request) when the new batch is uploaded.
