Ability for test group to easily switch between Redwood UI and JET UI - some roadblocks

Summary:

We are almost done setting up Redwood UI for commerce in our test site and want to give small group of test users access. However, they need ability to easily switch between Redwood UI and JET UI throughout the process - transaction manager to and from a quote, configurations back to quote. A couple roadblocks have surfaced in trying to do this. We think other companies have or are trying to also do this and would appreciate some guidance, ideas.

We have created a user group for those test users that need access to both Redwood and JET UI. Out of the box, this does not give users access to JET UI, but we have figured out how to give access to both in transaction manager and quotes, and switch between them. However, we still have not been able to accomplish following:
