2 Tier - Single Assignment allows multiple assignments

Hi Team-

We have enabled 2 Tier - Single Assignment for our implementation for both Enterprise and LE HCM Information pages.

However, the system is allowing adding an assignment for an employee that is also active at the same time as the primary assignment.

Can you provide inputs what should be the best practice here?

We have some employees who have multiple assignments/ departments in the company.
