Valuation unit is not created for newly created subinventories

in Costing 13 comments

Summary:

Hi Team,

We have multiple project locations (around 800) and business wants to create it as inventory organization. However we suggested we create it as Subinventories since the issue/receipt transaction for Project A subinventory should not interfere with Project B subinventory for the same item. We are using perpetual average costing. Hence, we created Project A and Project B as subinventory and attached different locations to both the newly created subinventories.

We created 2 PO's with same item. Both item has two different projects and each PO was received in Project A sub and Project B sub respectively. But the Valuation unit and Item cost profile are not automatically created even though transaction was created. Both PO's was received into the two subinventories and on hand created. However, the valuation unit (INV ORG_COST ORG_SUB INV) and Item cost profile for the item is not created.

Howdy, Stranger!
