Hyperion to Cloud migration

Thanks for taking time to read my question.

We are working with a client to migrate Hyperion to EPM Cloud.

They have Planning and Essbase.

For Planning, they are not comfortable putting the Financial Planning application and Employee application in 1 application with 2 plan types as metadata is not consistent (duplicates members and different hierarchies for shared dimensions) on-prem and they dont want to change metadata as it will have downstream (forms, data loads, reports, Calcs) impact.

They would like to keep it 2 Planning applications in 2 instances.

If they have a Report that points to 2 applications on prem, will it work the same way so thats it pulls data from 2 applications in cloud?
