Dual Reporting Hierarchy – Matrix Manager Unable to View Direct Reports, Absences, and Time Cards

Dear Team,

We have received a business requirement to implement a dual reporting hierarchy in Oracle Fusion HCM. Currently, employees have a Line Manager defined through the Supervisor hierarchy. The business now requires an additional dual line manager who should have the same access and privileges as the existing Line Manager.

To meet this requirement, we have configured the following:

  • New Manager Type: Matrix Manager
  • New Manager Role: MAS Matrix Manager

The MAS Matrix Manager role was created by replicating all the privileges and security profiles available in the standard Line Manager role.

For testing purposes, we:

  • Assigned the Matrix Manager
