Days of Cover Safety Stock Planning method not considering demand in the current period

Summary:

We are running Unconstrained Supply Plan with Days of Cover method. After the Plan run we are seeing that in the first daily bucket (Plan run date) the total demand is not used in the Average Daily Demand calculation. From the second bucket this is calculating fine. But why is the total demand in the first period is not considered in the calculation? We have not used any smoothing parameters. From the attachment can anyone tell what is this issue??
