Report based report reference doclet will not add available content in report package

Summary: Report based report reference doclet will not add available content in report package

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

I create a report package. I add a word based file to it. I then add reference doclets (linked) based on reports, wanting to add embed their dynamic content in a word based file. Doclets in question are not checked out, but I find I cannot add any available content to them, when I enter the 'Act on Content / Inspect Available Content' control for the reference doclet in question the add control is disabled, so I cannot add grids, charts etc. I've checked thoroughly / recreated but cannot see any errors to what the manual is telling me to
