Late work orders in Production scheduling varies based on anchor date

Summary:

We have two schedules with different anchor dates provided, first one with 28-Nov-2025 and the other one is 02-Feb-2026. Both the schedules have their Horizon Extension = Rolling hence both the schedules consider the Horizon start date to be 03-Feb-2026. While refreshing the PS, we could see the Horizon start date is from 03-Feb-2026 and it collects 140 Work orders in both the schedules.

However, when solving the schedule, the No. of Late work orders in the first schedule (anchor date= 28-Jan-25) is 83, whereas the No.of late work orders in the second schedule(anchor date = 02-Feb-26) is 68. Can someone please explain, how the anchor date contributes to the Late work orders calculation. All other schedule options are the same for both the schedules.
