Defaulting the seniority date to Enterprise service date

Hi ,

We have a requirement to default the seniority date to the Original enterprise service date (first time hire into organization). We are in V3. We are trying to achieve this using a fast formula, but not much successful.

With Cumulative option set to N, we see the 'Calculate Seniority Dates' process is splitting the dates whenever a back dated assignment change

(Job , Location etc., ) occurs. The split is taking the new hire date as the latest seniority date.

  1. Can we in anyway stop the process to split the seniority record whenever any assignment level change happens?
  2. To achieve this, is it better to have Cumulative set to N ?
