Inventory label printer specifications

Summary:

Is it mandatory that the printer supports ZPL (Zebra Programming Language)?
We purchased a Brother printer, but it is not working with Oracle.

According to the Oracle documentation, the printer should support ZPL. Our Brother printer does not support ZPL, and when we raised a service request (SR), we were informed that ZPL is not supported from BI. We are not sure which printer we should consider.

Could you please help us with the specifications to consider when buying a printer that will work with Oracle?
