Is there a way in Case Management to search Cases by Affected party Case Contact relationship type?

My client uses Affected Party to search for SRs and Cases in their current system, they are currently implementing HR Help Desk and Case Management and I can't see a way to do this in the UI or in Reports & Analytics for Cases.

In HR Help Desk we have created a custom report where they can search Affected Party and Affected Party person number and we've also created a saved search in the Agent UI with the Contact and Contacts: Relationship Type Code filters applied.

In Case Management I've encouraged the client to use the out of the box functionality and to assign relationship types to the employees who are involved in a case, Affected Party is one of the out of the box lookup ORA_SVC_CASE_CONTACT_REL_CD, but these can't be searched for in the UI and this is not a field we can report on in any of the Case Management Subject Areas.
