Award Monthly Budget Period Creation?

What is the Oracle recommended best practice for Award budget period creation for research customers?

Our customer’s requirement is to create monthly budget periods instead of yearly ones, as this is the approach they currently follow in their legacy system.

For example, if an award has a duration of five years, they would like to create only five budget periods (one per year) and maintain funding at the yearly level. However, they want to perform award and project budgeting at the monthly level.

To support monthly budgeting control, we are considering creating budget periods on a monthly basis instead of yearly.
