Need to understand if we can charge a project with a custom inventory transaction type
Summary: I Need to understand if we can charge a project with a custom inventory transaction type. KB118953 mentions that for inventory transactions that are created using custom inventory transaction types (that 'allow project transactions' to be created E.g custom Misc Trxns etc..) , the cost from the transaction does not hit the project. This seems to be incorrect because see screenshots below it is possible to charge a project when using a custom transaction type in the same manner as is expected with a seeded inventory transaction type. The KB was shared with me on SR # 4-0001757973.
I need to understand if what I observed in the screenshots below is correct & the expected design w.r.t to project costing because we are working on a long term solution related to this where we want our users to enter the exact complete POET (project task expenditure type & org) info on the custom inventory transactions (& not have them defaulted like the seeded inv trxn types) so that these transactions don't get stuck in the inventory to costing interface every month due to missing project information on them. However we are not sure if using the custom trxn
