Grade Step Progression Global Setting

in Workforce Management

Hello Team,

We are working on Grade Step Progression (Ladder) configuration in Oracle Fusion HCM.

In the Grade Step Progression setup, we have configured the condition:

If Proposed Salary is Less Than or Equal to Current Salary → Action = Error

Current behavior:

  • Current Salary = 16.65, Proposed Salary = 16.64 → System throws Error (Expected)
  • Current Salary = 16.65, Proposed Salary = 16.65 → System also throws Error

As per our business requirement, when the proposed salary is equal to the current salary (i.e., no salary change), the automatic wage/step progression should not fail. The process should continue successfully for future-dated progression. We only want the system to error when the proposed salary is less than the current salary.
