Copy Transactions rule to block carryover when Closing Date is empty

Hello Team,

I am working on updating the rules for Copy Transactions from Prior Period in ARCS and need some guidance.

We would like to introduce a new validation rule such that:

1. If the Closing Date is empty → adjustments/transactions should NOT carry forward to the next period, and
2. If the Transaction Date is less than or equal to the Closing Date → the transaction should also be blocked from carryover.

Our objective is to prevent prior‑period adjustments from being copied when the reconciliation has not been formally closed, or when the transaction occurred on/ before the closing date.
