Can we restrict items in manage delete group be used for transactions?

Summary:

Hi Team,

If am adding an item to a Delete Group, can we have system throw an error or restriction to prevent them from doing transactions like PO, On Hand, Inventory transactions etc. This is for newly created item when the transactions don't exist and also old items where all transactions are closed, pending closed. Users shouldn't be able to raise any PO and perform any inventory transactions while it is delete groups
