REST API to Download Viewpoint

Summary:

We have a business case where we need to provide non-edm users (source team) to access the viewpoint (view access) and should be able to export the viewpoint/dimension to file however, they should not be given rights to create any request for the same viewpoint. Just the export would be helpful and looking for only REST API Commands.

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

Data Manager permission should be given for Export/Import however I would like to restrict this option since this holds the higher permission which would enable the users to create request and make changes to data. I do not find any REST API command as well for the downloading the viewpoint as per the EDM REST API Documentation. Any better suggestions are welcome to achieve this.
