Specialization Not Recognizing Prior Completion After Offering Definition Update
Summary:
Hi everyone,
We are seeing unexpected behavior with a specialization in Oracle Learning, and I’m hoping to confirm whether this is expected.
Scenario
- A learner completed a Course in December 2023.
- In 2025, we updated the course offering definition
- This course is also part of a specialization, which was assigned to the learner after the offering definition was changed.
Behavior Observed
- The specialization DOES NOT recognize that the learner completed the course historically, even though they did
- The specialization remains locked because it expects completion of the current version (we think), not the older activity definition.
Questions
- Is this expected behavior when an offering definition (SCORM activity) is updated after the learner’s original completion?
