Future Termination Creates New Abs Plan Enroll Based on Transaction Date Instead of Termination Date

Summary:

We observed unexpected behavior in Oracle Fusion Absence Management accrual plan enrollments when entering a future termination.

Scenario:

  • An employee has an active accrual plan enrollment.
  • A future termination date is entered (for example, 13-Mar-2026).
  • The termination transaction is entered earlier (for example, 23-Jan-2026).

After the termination is entered, the system ends the existing accrual plan enrollment on the transaction entry date and creates a new enrollment starting the next day, instead of keeping the original enrollment active until the actual termination date.

This results in two enrollment segments for the same plan, and the balances appear separately when viewing only active enrollments.

Howdy, Stranger!
