How do we prevent pricing adjustment not getting applied to components of a Model

Summary:

We have a requirement to prevent the spreading of pricing adjustments to child components.

In the current setup, we have rolled up the price from the components to the parent item and reset the price of the individual components to zero. After that, we applied certain parameters to derive a discount at the parent product level.

However, we observed that the pricing adjustment applied to the parent product is also being spread to the child component lines, even though their price was previously set to zero.

Our requirement is to ensure that the pricing adjustment is applied only at the parent product level and does not get distributed to the child components.
