DoR DFF of Date type not getting selected in while creating Validation Rule.

Summary:

Currently we have ACRs (Object Validation Rule Type) as validation/error message for DoR in RUI, we are trying to convert them into Business Rules in VBS. But not able to use the DFF as condition in Validation Rule. This is a DoR DFF and defaulted using a SQL as shown below.

The DFF is of DATE type and takes and initial value from employee's employment data through a sql.

Please suggest if anyone had such situation and how to build the Validation Rule.
