New Data Extraction Tool - Question Regarding Optimized Autonomous Instance and Availability

Summary:

In the documentation for the new data extract tool there's a note around an underlying Autonomous Database that abstracts away from reading the underlying transactional DB (i.e. legacy BICC approach) Overview of the Data Extraction Tool.

(1) Is JDBC or other direct connect methods supported on this Oracle managed read optimized integrated Autonomous Database instance? Or will this continue to be only a flat file data extract approach similar to the BICC pattern?

(2) Based on the documentation and view object mappings looks like only SCM is supported at this time? Are any other modules supported? If not any idea of when they might be covered?
