How to restrict access in Additional Person Info Page

We have created a new EFF in the Additional Person Info page, now we want to restrict the access to a specific role. However when we tried restricting the visibility through the Experience Design Studio in the rule the page attribute section page and region section automatically changes to the default EFF field. Therefore we are unable to change the page and region to the EFF we created.
